You have been doing some work m'boy, IMPRESSIVE. We were talking about you tonight, and I told Atsumi that we should check out your website.

She says HI, we are in Japan (again), when are you dropping by?

Hope you are well mate. I ran in to Polanski recently (in Armidale last year...) & he told me about your website so I thought I would check it out & say hi.

Hi Jamie,

I just wanted to check in and see what was new on your site. We corresponded back in December about building a "winning character design portfolio". Thanks again. So you're going to be at Comic-con? Will you have a table?

Cheers,
Ben

Jamie Tuesday, 5 July 2005 18:44
Hey Ben. Yes, I will be sharing a booth in San Diego with my pal RHODE Montijo. Our Booth number is #1229

Just checking up on ya...you've been a busy boy. It all looks great. I'm back in Toronto working on whatever comes my way. Will have a sketchbook at Comicon too, but I won't be there. Drop a line when you have a chance.

Jamie Tuesday, 5 July 2005 18:44
Scott, if you tell us the name of your sketchbook then we can all go look for it!

Hey. What a fun site. I was looking to get an email out to my management company in NY who do voice overs and I ran into this (The company is run by a Jamie Baker). My website has a character Demo on it so you can check it out if you like.

Great luck with the work!!

Chris.

:p I wandered into this chatfest pretty much by accident, long after you sent me the way into it. Which just goes to show that, while you're a bit of a whizzkid, I'm just a goose-quill old duffer.

I've enjoyed my visit. Keep knocking spots off everybody, Kid! Dat's my boy!!

James Wednesday, 22 June 2005 11:37
Thanks for stopping by Dad. I'm working on the PACHYDERM book at the moment!

Hope to see you again one day! Kathleen

Jamie Sunday, 1 May 2005 15:38
Thanks for coming by Kathleen, and thanks for letting me in on the fact that you are reading my mail to Joey... I'll be sure not to send him anything too filthy in future.

Jamie Monday, 14 February 2005 10:33
No that's ANOTHER James Baker (advertising guy). Turns out there are a few of us out there... There's the politician (secretary of state under REAGAN), an investment banker, another animator (who works at Disney) amongst a list of OTHER JAMES BAKERS....

...and then there's me!

i love the drawings but the massive breasts scare me a bit

jamie Tuesday, 8 February 2005 10:04
Thanks for the feedback J. Sorry to have frightened you with cartoon body parts. It's all supposed to be about COMEDY, not TERROR. My cartoonists sense of exaggeration, general immaturity and personal preferences tend to make me emphaSIZE certain parts more than others. Hopefully you noticed some scary male body parts on my site for some balance...

I love your stuff...... I found this site just browsing.... The COLOR is VERY lovely although I don't say "lovely" often....... Errrrr........'keep up the good work'

Do you have a pet cat? Neither do I.....! small world eh?.........it's like we're related or something....... I draw too. not much though...... ......but seriously.......

What really intrigues me about your work is the synthesis of styles juxtaposed with relevant issues pertaining to the urban dread that most of us, in large part, inevitably find ouselves.......OH #@*%!! IT'S THE OWLY MEN........
:)

Paul Stibal Wednesday, 12 January 2005 09:56
Sorry about that.....it's kinda late here

PS: Happy New Year!!!!

Yes! It''s all nice Jamie but.................................what about the evil Owly Men?

jamie Wednesday, 1 December 2004 13:19
It''s true PAULY, it''s true... what good are all these goofy comics ''n'' cute cartoons when they only serve to distract us from the horrors of the OWLY MEN...
ah well, it''s a living.

paul Stibal Sunday, 2 January 2005 12:18
Hey Jamie.....I didn''t mean it that way. Comix are good. So is Xmas and especially really nice ornaments to put on the tree.

jamie Wednesday, 31 December 1969 16:00
maybe we need a comic-book ABOUT the OWLY MEN to put UNDER the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
